Open Play, Adventure, and Movement for Kids in East Nashville

Kids are designed to move.

They want to climb, jump, swing, crawl, balance, roll, and explore the world around them. Creating opportunities for movement is one of the best ways to support healthy childhood development.

At Sunbeam Movement, we’re excited to bring a new kind of movement space to East Nashville, one focused on adventure, gross motor play, and confidence-building through movement.

What Is Open Play?

Open play gives children the freedom to explore movement independently within a safe and thoughtfully designed environment.

During open play, kids can:

  • climb obstacles
  • practice balance
  • jump safely
  • explore gymnastics equipment
  • build coordination
  • socialize with peers
  • move creatively

This kind of unstructured movement is incredibly valuable for young children because it encourages curiosity, independence, and problem-solving.

The Benefits of Active Play for Kids

Active play supports all areas of development, including :

  • physical development
  • social-emotional growth
  • coordination
  • strength
  • confidence
  • sensory processing
  • motor skills

Many parents searching for kids activities or indoor play gyms in Nashville are specifically looking for spaces that encourage movement rather than passive entertainment.

At Sunbeam Movement, our goal is to create a space where movement feels exciting, empowering, and FUN.

A Kids Gym Built for Early Childhood

Our movement gym combines elements of:

  • beginner gymnastics
  • obstacle courses
  • gross motor activities
  • early childhood movement education
  • active play
  • adventure-based learning

Classes and open play opportunities are led by highly trained coaches who understand how children learn and develop through movement.

Whether your child is cautious, energetic, adventurous, or shy, movement experiences can help them build confidence and discover what their bodies can do.

We’re proud to create a welcoming kids gym and play space for families in East Nashville.
